Where It All Began

Did you know that one of the world’s most iconic brands was born on a university track — with soles molded in a… waffle iron?

Step into the exhibition and dive into the origins of Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, two pioneers who set out in the 1960s to break the rules. You’ll discover unique prototypes, homemade experiments, and the first handcrafted models that sparked a revolution in athletic performance.

Explore the birth of the legendary Swoosh, designed by Carolyn Davidson in 1971, and immerse yourself in a defining era where every piece was guided by a single principle: understanding the athlete.

A humble story that evolved into a global phenomenon.

The Jump That Changed the World

1985. Michael Jordan soars above the court. The world holds its breath. And everything changes forever.

Relive the cultural impact of the Air Jordan and the groundbreaking Air Max with their visible air chambers. See iconic models that transcended sports to become symbols of the 1980s and 1990s.

Because Air wasn’t just a sneaker — it was a declaration of freedom.

Where Science Drives Speed

Step into the world of the Nike Sport Research Lab — the epicenter of athletic innovation.

Here, you’ll discover how engineers and elite athletes work together to create revolutionary shoes like the Nike Free and Vaporfly, capable of breaking world records. Explore the technologies that push the limits of the human body.

But innovation also means responsibility. Learn about Nike’s recycling initiatives and sustainable materials, the Move to Zero program, and the new production methods that are reshaping the future of sport — and the planet.

Here, you’ll see how Nike envisions the future — and sets it in motion.
