NIKE. From follows motion arrives in Madrid

The first major exhibition dedicated to Nike, the world’s most influential sports brand, arrives in Madrid after its success at the Vitra Design Museum, where it has already been enjoyed by more than 60,000 visitors. 

A unique journey through over five decades of design, innovation, and urban culture — from the early experiments of the 1960s and the creation of the iconic Swoosh, to legendary models such as the Air Max, Air Jordan, and the revolutionary Flyknit fabric, along with never-before-seen prototypes and groundbreaking collaborations that shaped the history of sport and fashion.

From the track to a global phenomenon

Discover the story of Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, the early design experiments of the 1960s, and the creation of the legendary Swoosh. It was a stage defined by homemade innovation — from waffle iron soles to improvised prototypes — and by the principle that still guides the brand today: always listen to the athlete. What began as a handcrafted project on a college track soon became the seed of a cultural and sporting revolution.

The exhibition shows how the brand became iconic through groundbreaking collaborations, but also through its genuine bond with youth and urban culture worldwide. Today, its sneakers are a shared language, present on catwalks, stages, and neighborhoods, continuing to set trends across generations.

Opening hours and duration

The exhibition opens its doors on November 12, 2025, and runs from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. It will be closed on December 24 and 25, December 31, and January 1 and 6. The visit lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
